ICBA is proud to announce the First AnnualExecuted Architecture Award, a celebration of outstanding projects completed by Iranian-Canadian professionals, including architects, builders, engineers, and interior designers. This award seeks to promote architectural excellence, innovation, and high-quality execution within the

Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Award Objectives

Recognize and celebrate exemplary architectural, construction, and interior/exterior projects Encourage integration of high-quality design, technical coordination, and construction Promote professional dialogue and collaboration across disciplines Elevate the culture of excellence in the design/ construction.

Eligibility

Projects must be completed and occupied between

January 2015 and September 2025

Projects must be located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Applicants must be the project’s designer, builder and have legal rights to submit the work, including permission from the Owner and the Architect/Designer for submission.

Award Categories

A-1-best design-build for Residential projects, including Custom houses, low-rise, and high-rise buildings

 

A-2-Best design-build for any kind of non-residential projects

 

B- best interior design project, any size and any kind

 

C-Best engineering practice

 

Submission can be done by Builders, Architects, Designers, interior designers or Project Engineers

Submission Requirements

All materials must be submitted digitally through the official submission email: icbawards@gmail.com

  • Each submission must include: Project Data & Description
    • Written description (max. 300 words, PDF format).
    • Must include the city name, year of completion, program type, approximate area, intended use, and achievement highlights outlining notable qualities, design innovations, recognitions, and, where applicable, any sustainability features or community impact.
  • Required Content and Visual Material
    • Plans, elevations, and key sections/details submitted in PDF format on sheets sized 24” × 36” (ARCH D) or A1 (594 × 841 mm).
    • Photographs: minimum 7 and maximum 15 high-resolution images (JPEG/PNG, 300 dpi), including both exterior and interior views. 3D renderings may be provided as optional material.
    • For interior design entries, submission of exterior photographs is not mandatory.
    • A one-minute video of the completed project, with narration in English, may be included as an additional asset.
    • At least one contextual image illustrates the project within its urban or landscape setting.
    • All drawings and images must be clearly labeled and compiled into a single PDF booklet, consisting of 15 pages, with a maximum file size of 40 MB.
  • 3. Additional Requirements

  • Drawings must include scale bars and north arrows

      • Units: Metric (SI).
      • All submissions shall remain anonymous; firm names, logos, or identifying marks are strictly prohibited. Accordingly, each sheet must include a blank box, measuring 3.5” × 2”, positioned in the top-right corner, reserved for allocation by the competition secretariat.
      • Narrative and Layout: Your submission should clearly narrate the story of your project to the jury. It must include technical documents and images that present every visible side of the building, ensuring that no aspect is omitted, and the project can be fully understood without blind spots.

Copyright and Usage Agreement

By submitting, participants agree to the following:

1. Ownership – The participant affirms they are the legal copyright owner or have permission to submit.

2. License to Use – IC Builders is granted a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, publish, and exhibit the work. Copyright remains with the original creator.

3. Attribution – IC Builders will credit the participant unless anonymity is requested in writing.

4. Warranties and Indemnification – The participant confirms the submission does not infringe third-party rights. All image permissions have been secured. The participant agrees to indemnify IC Builders.

5. Withdrawal – Participants may withdraw their submission by written notice. Published

materials may not be recalled.
