It is an honor that, after years of effort by Ms. Lily Cheng, the representative of Willowdale, and her advisor Ms. Atefeh Javadian, the City of Toronto has taken a meaningful step in officially recognizing the active and impactful presence of the large Iranian-Canadian community by designating an area in the heart of North York as “Little Iran,” thus fulfilling a long-held dream of Iranians.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Ms. Cheng, Ms. Javadian, and Mr. David Mosavian. The ICBA Association, along with many other Iranians, will continue to fully support this initiative and do their utmost to help achieve the next goals of this project.
